When:  Saturday, Sept 12 and 26, 2020  9a - 1p
Where:  Meet at Pinhoti 2 parking area at the end of FS Rd 90B.  
Directions:  Take Gates Chapel Rd off of Hwy 52 west, travel to the end of Gates Chapel Rd and continue onto Wilderness Trail.  Wilderness Trail turns into FS Rd 90 and travel about .25 miles and turn left on FS Rd 90B.  FS Rd 90B deadends into the parking area. 

This space gives us room to meet and go through the safety precautions and work to be performed while social distancing.  We will break up into groups of 4 and travel to different areas of Bear Creek and the Pinhotis to perform corridor clearance and cleaning drains.  We will work for 2 - 3 hours and then eat lunch back at the Pinhoti 2 parking area where we met in the morning.


What to Wear and Bring

We will work rain or shine. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, including: work gloves, long pants, boots (preferred) or sturdy shoes and helmets (required). No open-toed shoes allowed! Volunteers are also encouraged to wear, sunscreen, insect repellent, and carry any personal medical supplies (ie. epi- pen, insulin inhalers)    

                                                                                                                              

Volunteers need to bring : water and food/snacks appropriate for the duration of the work and a backpack to carry it all.

Bring a lunch for after the trail work. 

COVID protocols will include social distancing and wearing a mask in close proximity to others.  Hand sanitizer will be provided.
