Advocacy Pro-Tip: Legislator Recess
A heads up and reminder that your Members of Congress are out in District and now is a great time to engage with them and do something outside—what we do is fun! It's a great opportunity to talk about mountain biking and federal legislation that impacts mountain biking, like Recreation Not Red Tape, Restore Our Parks and Public Lands Act, and other public lands bills.
Take pictures and post to your social media outlets and don't forget to follow up with your legislator afterward. If you do get out with someone, let us know!
The next call is scheduled for August 21, 2019 at 6pm eastern, 5pm central, 4pm mountain and 3pm pacific.
If you have an agenda item that you would like to discuss, please send it to local@imba.com.

October Trail Labs Registration is Now Available!
IMBA Trail Labs are two-day intensive workshops during which IMBA staff and local experts and stakeholders lead participants through the recipe for a model community trail system: planning, design, building, activation, promotion and measuring success. Attendees will also get a firsthand look at components of an intentional and diverse mountain bike trails community.
People who should attend are land managers, tourism and recreation professionals, community officials and local trail organizations—we encourage you to invite the groups that can help you make trails happen!
The cost to attend is $600, which includes registration, breakfast and lunch, shuttles for field workshops and evening festivities.
