This clinic is ideal for women who mountain bike regularly (10-15 miles 2-3x/week) and want to hone their skill set. Emphasis is on proper body position to suit the terrain, techniques to make single track riding safer, more fun, more efficient and increase confidence. This clinic will go over the fundamentals and specific maneuvers like wheel lifts, cornering, and switchbacks. While the skill portion is more suited for all, the on trail riding portion requires fitness enough to ride in the mountains. If you have decent bike fitness, want to dial in and learn new skills and enjoy the company of other women who ride, this is a great opportunity for you. Shanna has lots of experience teaching other women (as well as men) and continually seeks to improve her skills as a rider and instructor so you can learn better. She is also an amazing rider herself but has a relaxed, laid-back approach to shredding and teaching.

In summary, you should have a strong baseline fitness, willingness to learn and experiment all while having lots and lots of FUN!

Mulberry Meltdown Ultra Trail Running Event (6, 12, & 24 hours!)
December 7, 2019 (8am) - December 8, 2019 (8am)

Get More Info or Register Here!

This event presented by Run the Cohuttas and hosted at Mulberry Gap invites you to come test your mettle on a well-maintained 1 mile course of loopy fun through the Mulberry Gap MTB Get-A-Way property. Sounds easy? Maybe the first few times…

You’ll run by mountain brooks and across a koi pond. You’ll run through stands of hemlocks and past the smiling faces of volunteers and supporters. You’ll run past a nice, warm “barn” (hint: it’s not really a barn) serving nice, warm food. You’ll run past your tent or cabin (which you should book RIGHT NOW at www.mulberrygap.com) to access personal aid and sleep without leaving the course, and you’ll run through a MTB pump track (no, you don’t have to run the tricks...but maybe that’d be fun the first few times…please show us pictures).   You’ll also accumulate 220ft of elevation gain per loop.   OUCH The course is 90% dirt/trail. There will be small segments of gravel plus the paved area where the main buildings are at the Start/Finish. There will also be a couple of short wooden bridges so you don’t get your tootsies wet as you cross the aforementioned brooks and koi pond. :)
